Additional information

All the Team work--scientific and commercial--concerns the air pollution. Presently it is focused on the problems of:

- Emission from industry (implementation of Directive 2008/1/EC on integrated pollution prevention and control)

- Emission from vehicular sources and scattered municipal sources

- Immission of PM2.5 and PM1

- Chemical composition of aerosols with the particle diameter between 0.03 ‑‑ 10 µm

Lately, much effort has been put into implementation of EC Council Directive 96/62/EC on ambient air quality assessment and management. Special attention is paid to monitoring and modeling of the air pollutants propagation. The theoretical work of the Team consists in application of mathematical modeling to forecasting of air pollution and processing data from measurements. The Team has its own, permanently updated, package of mathematical programs designed for modeling of propagation of pollutants from point- and surface sources.

The newest investigations are directed at the problems of global climate change--the Team is a member of Airclim-Net.

Usual commercial works of the Team are expert opinions on technical and organizational aspects of measurements of emission and immission of air pollutants. Strictly practical works of the Team are done for industry and most often they are reports on environmental effects of installations and prognoses of such effects--both with respect to proper legal acts. A significant part of this activity consists in preparing applications for integrated permits and permits for releasing substances (gases and dusts) and energy into the environment
