Currently, air quality monitoring of the Zabrze station is carried out as part of the State Environmental Monitoring (SEM), in accordance with the Act of 10 July 1991 on the Inspection of Environmental Protection by the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection. The station on the premises of IEE PAS has been operating since April 2004, previously measurements were carried out at the station located in the park. Tadeusza Kościuszko, where in 1993 an automatic measurement station was launched as part of the implementation of the Environmental Management Strategy - shaping air quality assisted by the World Bank.
