Full Professor of Technical Sciences, an eminent scholar and specialist in environmental engineering, longtime Head of the Department of the Impact of Diffuse Pollutants on the Environment at the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Zabrze (Poland), Member of the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN) and expert representative at the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), Chairwoman of Technical Committee No. 216 for Waste at PKN, a member of numerous national and international scientific organizations, Editor-in-Chief of Elsevier journals, author of over 300 scientific publications and countless scientific-research and research-implementation works in the field of environmental protection, Leader of 19 international projects carried out in cooperation with Norway, Germany, Israel, Greece, China, and India, as well as with CEN and NATO, mentor to generations of students and researchers, honored with numerous state and scientific awards and distinctions.
