On 7 October 2022, the 18th edition of the Science Day took place in the Historical Water Tower in Zabrze. A team of scientists from our Institute (MS. Maria Szuszkiewicz, PhD Małgorzata Wawer, PhD Michał Bućko and PhD Adam Łukasik) presented devices for measuring soil pollution in the field using modern magnetic techniques.
Together with the participants of the event, we examined urban soil and showed how it has been changed by humans. A great attraction for the young participants was the search for magnetic artefacts hidden in the soil around our site.
