In particular: (1) assessment, prediction and prevention of the long-term impact of industrial waste on the environment, (2) analysis of the phase composition and physicochemical properties of incineration waste and its transformations over time, (3) monitoring of groundwater in the vadose and saturated zone near industrial landfills, (4) use of earth observation systems in environmental research.
